Speak Easy | Move Loud is a cross-era collaboration by RESILIENCE Dance Company and Continuum Vocal Ensemble, blending music and movement to explore resistance, identity, and belonging. Drawing parallels between the cultural upheaval of the 1920s and today, the program highlights both progress and pushback across time. Audiences will experience works celebrating authentic voices, jazz-era classics, live improvisation shaped by performers and audience, and powerful pieces addressing race and protest. Through dance, song, and storytelling, this immersive performance invites reflection on art’s role in shaping community, honoring the past, and inspiring a more inclusive and expressive future.
