Jim Beasley Veterans Tribute at Kaskaskia College honors combat and non-combat service men and women from five ILLINOISouth counties:
- Bond
- Clinton
- Fayette
- Marion
- Washington
This serene monument features five granite walls on which over 48,000 veterans' names are engraved. These walls extend from the Warriors' Court, a central circular area that houses a bronze eagle sculpture and five military service seals. Japanese cherry trees surround the entire monument and bloom with beautiful, fragrant flowers each Spring.
The privately-funded, locally-conceived Jim Beasley Veterans Tribute is still under development. Phase 3 of the ongoing project will feature an Education Building with a computer lab and AV services. This building will give visitors access to historical documents, information, artifacts, and data on the history of the United States.
