The Southern Illinois Coffee Trail Returns for 2025 Season

Southern Illinois - The beloved Southern Illinois Coffee Trail is back and brewing for its fourth year! From August 1 through December 31, 2025, coffee lovers are invited to hit the road and explore 64 locally owned cafés and coffee shops across scenic Southern Illinois. “The Southern Illinois Coffee Trail continues to grow each year, and we’re proud to support so many small businesses through it,” said Jordan Jackovich from Discover Downstate Illinois. “This trail isn’t just about coffee; it’s about discovering the heart of our small towns and supporting local businesses.” 

Organized by Discover Downstate Illinois in partnership with VisitSI, Visit Effingham, and Southernmost Illinois, this regional trail showcases the unique charm, flavor, and hospitality of local coffee shops while encouraging community exploration.

To participate, simply download the Discover Downstate Illinois app, go to the Tours section, select the Coffee Trail, and check in at each shop you visit. After checking in at 8 or more stops, you’ll be eligible to receive an exclusive Coffee Trail prize! Prefer paper over digital? Physical passports and info cards are available at all participating locations, or you can request one for free at www.downstateil.org/dine/coffee-trail.
