McLeansboro Kiwanis Club Announces Concert Lineup for McLeansboro 2022 Fall Festival



The McLeansboro Kiwanis Club is pleased to announce the healdiners for the 2022 Fall Festival entertainment which will be held September 8th, 9th, and 10th and located on the historic square in downtown McLeansboro, Illinois. 

Jerry Prince, chairman of the Entertainment Committee, said, "Thanks to the financial support from the local community, we will continue another three nights of free, world class, and legendary entertainment from eight award-winning performers and songwriters." 

Thursday, September 8th - The McLeansboro Kiwanis Club will kick of the Fall Festival with a Performance by The Isaacs, a multi-Grammy award winning family gospel group. Also, opening the evening performance and returning to the McLeansboro Fall Festival will be Tim Atwood. He was the keyboard player for 40 years on the Grand Ole Opry but now a crowdpleasing entertainer.

Friday, September 9th - The entertainment will feature classic country stars in concert who have performed on the Grand Ole Opry. Appearing on stage Firday night will be Moe Bandy, a country music legend with many awards including 10 number one hits; Janie Fricke, a two-time female vocalist of the year with 18 number one hits; James Carothers, known for his originals and imprssions of country icons; and Moore and Moore, a country duo who have performed all over the world, received numerous awards, and written songs with many country artists.

Saturday, September 10th - Saturday's events will include a Pet Parade with registration on the Northeast corner of the square at 12:30 p.m. The Pet Parade starts at 1 p.m. The Fall Festival Parade begins at 6 p.m. The Theme for the parade this year is "Fall Fun in a Small Town". The final night of the concerts will open with an American Western singing and comedy group, Riders in the Sky. Closing out the night will be the award winning group Diamond Rio. Diamond Rio has a unique, non-traditional country and bluegrass style. Their debut single recording of "Meet in the Middle" wen to the top of the country charts. 

The Kiwanis Club has been a proud sponsor of the Fall Festival for over 70 years and welcomes the continued growth and support from the community. We want to encourage everyone to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the festivities of the McLeansboro Fall Festival.
