Whether you’re looking for a staycation or are traveling, our region has plenty to offer by way of places to stay. From quaint bed and breakfasts to unique stays, there’s something for everyone.

 

Western

The Conner House Bed and Breakfast, Prairie Du Rocher – After exploring the area's rich history with historic sites like Fort De Chartres, rest your head at the Conner House. Step back in time and stay in room named after the French Settlements of the 1700’s. Enjoy a complimentary southern fare or American breakfast.

Boekhoff Guest Suites, Red Bud – Take a break from city life at the Boekhoff Guest Suites in Red Bud. This stay dates back to the mid to late 1800s and offers a touch of modern flair to its historic vibe. You also can’t beat their affordable prices.

Westerfield Cabins, Freeburg – Get in touch with nature at the Westerfield Cabins in Freeburg. Their 2-story log cabin can sleep 8 and has two sitting rooms, a dining area, a kitchenette, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. They also offer stays in their cottage and kitchen flat. Prices vary by each accommodation so there is something for everyone.

 

Central

Timmerman House Bed and Breakfast, Aviston – The Timmerman House is located just outside of Aviston, 45 minutes from St. Louis. The farmhouse was built in the 1940s and your stay includes a homemade gourmet breakfast served daily. Reservations are a two-night minimum, which is perfect for those looking to explore local attractions.

Rose House, Du Quoin – Renovated in 2021, the Rose House in Du Quoin offers lodging and event space for bridal showers, baby showers, and more. Your stay at Rose House features free internet, updated furniture, and a light breakfast in the morning.

The Loft on Old Rt 50, Breese – Centrally located in Breese, the Loft on Old Rt 50 adds a touch of modern flair to your stay and is across the street from the iconic burger spot, Wally’s. This second-story loft is fully furnished and can fit 5 guests. To book your stay, use Airbnb.

 

Eastern

The Black Diamond Inn & Social House, Carmi – Built in 1905, the Social House Inn was kept in the Crebs family for eighty years. Now, it serves as a beautiful place to stay in Carmi. Looking for a getaway with the entire family? You can rent the whole house and gardens for up to 25 people! If you’re looking for a place to stay for just you and a significant other, their suites are also available.

The Cumberland Road Guesthouse, Greenup – This stay is one of the more unique in our region. The Cumberland Road Filling Station was refurbished and turned into a handicap accessible place to stay. This stay can sleep 6.

The Fox Den, Cumberland County – Located in Cumberland County near Greenup, the Fox Den is a shipping container converted into a place to stay. It sits on 35 acres and is the perfect place for peace and quiet.
