The Annual Library Crawl, scheduled for October 1-31, 2024, is a unique event organized by the public libraries of Illinois Heartland Library System as a fun way to introduce community members to the many great resources available to them with their library cards while getting to know neighboring libraries and exploring the rich communities of central and southern Illinois. Last year, a whopping 158 public libraries participated! The Library Crawl lasts an entire month, allowing families and individuals to explore libraries at their own pace, starting with their home library. Participants visit as many libraries as they would like throughout the month and get a passport stamp at each one they visit. (Individual library hours and participation may vary). Some patrons have tried to visit every library in the crawl! Contact your nearest public library for more information.
