This museum is located at the west edge of Oblong and is one of only 7 such facilities in the nation. Featured are displays, tools, books, and a full library of petrology related literature, working models and photos unique to oil production in the area. A grouping of oilfield equipment which dates from early 1900, during the boom days of oil discovery in Crawford County, is displayed outside the museum.
