The original St. Louis and South-Eastern Railroad Depot remains in excellent condition. Builders began work on the railroad depot in 1870. When construction ended in 1871, the railroad ran through the Dahlgren area. Today, it stands as a superb example of "Railroad Gingerbread" style.
